Vandivier has always strived to capture the personality of each tree. His first degree choice in college was in Forestry at Stephen F Austin University. Naturally, tree photography was one of the first of his collections as an Art Photographer. He continues to find amazing trees to make incredible tree pictures of. THE STORY BEHIND THE PHOTO:

I was looking for the oldest tree in Texas and found what is believed the one along the coast in Rockport, Texas. It was boring, but this tree inside the same grove of oaks with the boring old tree, fascinated me. If I were a tree, this is the tree I would like to look like!

THE STORY BEHIND THE PHOTO:

When everything comes together just right the colors on trees in the fall are amazing. I loved this old maple with its root system exposed and its crown of yellow leaves. This grove of maples are located in Lost Maples State Park, Texas and are believed to have existed since the last ice age.
